Snowshoeing is one of the best ways to get around the valley bottoms and shallow slopes of Jasper National Park.

Learn to Snowshoe

Learn all the basics from what a snowshoe does, their cultural significance, how to walk with them and how to look for terrain hazards. When you've learned all you can, we'll put it to the test with some snowshoe games!

*All programs are free and offered at Whirlpool Winter Hub by a Parks Canada Interpreter.

Dogsledding on Pyramid Lake

Silently MUSH across Jasper National Park's frozen Pyramid Lake upon Canada's oldest form of winter transport: dog sledding. What better way to capture the majestic panoramic views of the Canadian Rockies than behind a team of enthusiastic and friendly Alaskan Huskies.

Cold Fire Creek Dogsledding will run tours from 11 AM - 3 PM on January 13, 20 & 27 and are first come first serve. Parking is only available at Jasper Park Riding Stables. Shuttle will run from the Stables to Pyramid Lake and back and payment can only be made by cash (There is no ATM onsite)

$20 per child (age 2-12)*
Children under 2 ride for FREE*
*All youth under the age of 19 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Rides are approx. 10 minutes.

Our final ingredient is the pure, natural mountain water sourced from the great Canadian Rockies. Unlike most commercial breweries, we do nothing to our water but remove the chlorine added to it.
