Fat-tire biking "Winter Cross" race

Winter Cross on Jan. 18 at Jasper townsite's Centennial Park. Winter Cross will host two races in Centennial Park, a 45 minute 4 person team relay race followed by a 30 minute solo race.

Fat-tire biking demos will be available for use and the entire race can be viewed from a single vantage point, making it both an interactive and spectator-friendly event. Registration and demos will be available from 11 a.m. onward, with the races starting at 1 p.m.

Winter Landscape and Portrait Photography with Colin Ferguson

$250 (bring your own camera) - Join Colin Ferguson for two days of photography in winter landscapes and available-light portraiture. Learn camera controls and lighting, portraiture, retouching and selecting your ideal portrait. Capture expressive, potential of light in any setting.

Shadows and Snow - Oil Painting Workshop with Alisha Reilly-Roe

$280 (including materials) - Two-day workshop, join expert landscape painter Alisha Reilly-Roe in creating beautifully rendered paintings of winter scenes. Originally from Ottawa, Alisha Reilly-Roe has lived in some of the most beautiful mountain towns; Whistler, Squamish, Jasper, Tete Jaune, and she is now enjoying living, playing, and creating in Revelstoke, BC where she continues to be inspired by Canada's striking landscape.
